Since Kate was 17, she has been struggling with acne. In a conversation with Benjamin from NØIE on April 13th, 2022, she says:

»Like the mask at the time was the cause and solution to the problem, because I didn't want to take the mask off because my skin was terrible underneath.«⁠⁠
