"In my head, I kind of have these thoughts: 'Oh my God! The only thing people are seeing now are these red dots. And it totally destroys my mental peace', Kristina says. It’s no secret that acne can affect our mental health quite a lot. Both the “mental peace” as Kristina calls it, but also our self-esteem and confidence levels. But it can also have a direct impact on the way that we live our lives. Kristina’s been struggling with her skin for the past 10 years, and recalls a time when she was 19 years old and wasn’t in a good place with her skin:“There was a time where we had to go to this team dinner and I really wasn’t into going to this dinner because my skin was so bad at that moment. So I actually decided to stay at home, pretending to be sick. To me, at that point, it was just so disgusting and I just felt like: I don’t want people to look at me like that”. Kristina was dealing with these feelings every day for many years. We can’t even imagine what that’s like.
Kristina is 28 and lives in Denmark. She's been struggling with acne and sensitive skin for 10 years. Kristina has been using NØIE since June, 2020.
