Spot Treatment
If our algorithm finds that you might benefit from our Spot Treatment, it will appear among the products at the end of your skin test. If not, it won’t appear there at all.
Your personalised Spot Treatment will be matched to address your skin’s specific issues. That’s also why your name will be on the label.
The algorithm recommends spot treatment to target pimples and papules and it can help reduce redness, swelling, and pain.
Since it’s the Spot Treatment that matches your skin, we can only tell you the exact combination once you’ve told us more about your skin and your needs. Naturally, the final ingredients will be listed on your product.
All about our Spot Treatments
A spot treatment is a more targeted treatment, especially if you are struggling with a specific local skin concern, such as blemishes (pimples, papules etc.).
Spot treatments work by delivering acne-fighting ingredients directly to the offending blemish. It often includes a higher percentage of the active ingredient. Spot treatments can help reduce redness, swelling, and pain. They can also help loosen or dissolve the blockage within the pore that created the blemish in the first place.
On cleansed skin, apply the product on the blemishes by limiting it to a small surface area (use your fingertip or apply directly with the nozzle). Apply your regular Face Cream on top. The Spot Treatment can be used 1-3 times a day.
The basic rule of thumb when layering skincare products the ‘correct’ way is to layer your products in the order of the products' consistency. Meaning the lightweight liquids should be layered first.
So should you be assigned a full routine of products by our algorithm, then the Spot Treatment would be the second step of your skincare routine, just after cleansing.
However, you can use your Spot Treatment during the day too (and on top of makeup), but the Spot Treatment won't be as efficient in such cases as if applied on recently cleansed skin.
Our Spot Treatments are formulated as a liquid gel. The gel is water-based and does not contain occlusive ingredients, so it allows a better penetration of the actives into the skin.
The texture makes it easily spreadable and enables the active ingredients to penetrate the skin barrier faster which enhances efficacy. On top of that it dries more quickly and can be used under make-up or before applying your Face Cream.
